Learn something new
My project of October was undoubtedly one I've pushed off for too long : Ceramics
It's my new hobby & can't wait to return in a few months.
By the end of each session at the studio I felt exhausted, but also, satisfied leaving with muddy hands & clothes because I learned so much from techniques to little life lessons.
I'm not going to lie throwing on the wheel is difficult... from centering to getting the piece off with the wire tool. It doesn't stop there: trimming, 1st firing, glazing and then the final fire (around 1800° talk about HOT) There's much more to it than slamming mud and spinning it... like clay to the potter Jeremiah 18:4,6 I was just reminded of how much God loves us and the care He puts into us... life is a process; it takes patience; Trust in Him

This November I'm going to practice calligraphy and learn more about graphic design. We all have to start somewhere, right? Below is my FIRST piece... I took this photo on the London Eye, 2014.

Where to next : it can be a destination, state of mind, goals to be conquered, etc.

a decline
Here’s a run for your $ and time:
It is perfectly acceptable to respond “no”.
It is okay to not have an explanation to everything.
People will expect a yes, or the answer they want BUT it’s a question/ request. The answer is up to you. No need to feel bad about it.

Hello Pacific Northwest (part 1)
Our four day trip itinerary consisted of escaping the California heat with a flight to Washington then a quick road trip to Oregon. I've been wanting to go to the PNW for quite awhile and finally got the chance to!
Seattle
Ah, the rainy city where my long-time favorite TV show, Grey's Anatomy is supposedly set at.
Nowadays, it's really easy to find a must-do list at Pike Place and here's another one of those posts to affirm the buzz. Can't skip out on the Clam Chowder or see the fish mongers toss salmon to each other.

Instead of paying to get a good view from the Space Needle, Kerry Park had a gorgeous view of the Needle and rest of the city!
There were lots of cute shops and small restaurants around the Starbucks Reserve. I really enjoyed popping into Glasswing cause of their awesome display of succulents and interior decor!
My favorite memory was our final stop at Storyville cafe before heading to airport via train.
They have a gorgeous location with tall windows that overlook the market... so picture this: it's lightly raining outside and I'm sitting inside with a tea latte and cinnamon roll in front of me... yeah I really enjoyed just resting there! haha

Granted on our return flight out of SEA/TAC to LAX, got delayed so we were stuck at the airport for more than 5 hours. I have a newfound appreciation for the gate chairs that have outlets built into them and a shoutout to the Mexican restaurant that had a freaking good taco bowl salad!
Next time I want to go to more of the National Parks ... go on a actual hike and enjoy another chewalicious OG donut.

Hello, I'm Back!
Personally, it's a new season in my life and I'm excited.
It had become normalcy for me to be in a place of busyness and stress as I balanced different responsibilities, but now I'm faced with the stark contrast of an open schedule. For awhile, my post-grad lull felt really strange and uncomfortable. I found myself frustrated with a "should be doing, could be doing" mentality and self-inflicted pressure of not enjoying the rest I actually deserved.
In LA, it should be Fall, but it still feels like Summer with the temperature in the 90's and no signs of cooling. Just as the weather will, hopefully... or eventually catch up with the season of the year, I'm gradually coming to find joy in the season I'm in!So what now?
Pursue Passions : trying new things, continuing art, and refining what I really am passionate about
Be Proactive : starting up that job search by polishing up my resume. taking a GO
Self-Care : Wholeness. Be YOU
It's been awhile but I'm returning to my little space on the internet with lots of content ahead that I can't wait to share!

God has such big things in store and I'm really looking forward to finding out the teams.
Spa = magic place to sweat out toxins and relax- can't forget about the refreshing shaved ice!
Finals are this week . . . have to finish strong but I'm finding it hard to get motivated haha

Sentimental Value
From Mykonos to Los Angeles, this ring reminds me of so many travels, lessons & memories.
Thought I legitimately lost it for the past week and half but found it on Thursday

my fears are drowned in perfect love
"Let go of the pen and let God write your story."not on my own terms but in His plan
I think there's a lot of uncertainty and not knowing where this will lead, how this journey will unfold which is something I am definitely not used to ... so this is what trust is like ?
He beckons me . . . and it is up to me to obey.
May your word be a lamp to my feet and guide me .
reminding myself more of you, less of me
He is for me and wants what is Good for me knowing what is Good for me.
This weekend, I'll be going to STEM interview ...doing lots of catch up work, hanging with the seniors & juniors, headed to Pasadena and hopefully enjoying the holiday on Monday

Humbled by
the passionate
the dedicated
the obedient
the generous
the dedicated
the obedient
the generous
do you ever get overwhelmed by the beauty in the world?
sunsets with colours that just complement each other so perfectly but can only be captured in the moment with your eyes as pictures aren’t even able to replicate the image, by people with exuding passion for Christ, by people with just beautiful souls, little plants that just sprout out of the dirt and keep growing, smiles, God’s Grace, His unconditional, pursuing love, His creation… The Creator ..this list can be continued to added onto but for now these things make me want to cry happy tears.

Voce di Diario #1
" Simple is in the mind of the beholder " - Moeller, professor of German History
“These are the days that must happen to you.”- Walt Whitman, Song of the Open Road
turns out my Munday funk is actually just a blue mood... It's Wednesday & still feeling underneath all this pressure, negativity and annoying thoughts that won't go away. Sweeter days are to come cause hopefully this too shall pass. Right now there's too much and too little time .
Forget small talk. When's the last time you genuinely asked someone how they were doing and looked straight into their eyes with a desire to actually listen to them?
Humility. Overcome. Love.

Onto 2015!
Good ending to 2014 (Christmas break was too short but with the time I had, it was an awesome one). New Years Eve was low-key but I was so glad to ring in 2015 with amazing friends.
Then New Years Day, I spent the day laughing over Bingo with my family and eating traditional Korean food.
There's a lot on my mind but I don't have time to reflect or process... it's like life is on full throttle and I can't find a moment to pause.
In a strange funk right now but hoping this is just blues passing through?
2015 has so much in store... like graduating is huge milestone but thereafter is so much uncertainty!
Things I want to do
Be Creative! Lose that fear, allocate the time & just try.
Take chances- Be intentional, wise .
Go out & about
Be Open . Find my passions. Explore.
Repeating: More of Him, Less of Me
