a decline

Here’s a run for your $ and time:
It is perfectly acceptable to respond “no”.
It is okay to not have an explanation to everything.
People will expect a yes, or the answer they want BUT it’s a question/ request. The answer is up to you. No need to feel bad about it.

Hello Pacific Northwest (part 1)

Our four day trip itinerary consisted of escaping the California heat with a flight to Washington then a quick road trip to Oregon. I've been wanting to go to the PNW for quite awhile and finally got the chance to!
Seattle
Ah, the rainy city where my long-time favorite TV show, Grey's Anatomy is supposedly set at.
Nowadays, it's really easy to find a must-do list at Pike Place and here's another one of those posts to affirm the buzz. Can't skip out on the Clam Chowder or see the fish mongers toss salmon to each other.

Instead of paying to get a good view from the Space Needle, Kerry Park had a gorgeous view of the Needle and rest of the city!

There were lots of cute shops and small restaurants around the Starbucks Reserve. I really enjoyed popping into Glasswing cause of their awesome display of succulents and interior decor!

My favorite memory was our final stop at Storyville cafe before heading to airport via train.
They have a gorgeous location with tall windows that overlook the market... so picture this: it's lightly raining outside and I'm sitting inside with a tea latte and cinnamon roll in front of me... yeah I really enjoyed just resting there! haha

Granted on our return flight out of SEA/TAC to LAX, got delayed so we were stuck at the airport for more than 5 hours. I have a newfound appreciation for the gate chairs that have outlets built into them and a shoutout to the Mexican restaurant that had a freaking good taco bowl salad!

Next time I want to go to more of the National Parks ... go on a actual hike and enjoy another chewalicious OG donut.

Hello, I'm Back!

Personally, it's a new season in my life and I'm excited.
It had become normalcy for me to be in a place of busyness and stress as I balanced different responsibilities, but now I'm faced with the stark contrast of an open schedule. For awhile, my post-grad lull felt really strange and uncomfortable. I found myself frustrated with a "should be doing, could be doing" mentality and self-inflicted pressure of not enjoying the rest I actually deserved.
In LA, it should be Fall, but it still feels like Summer with the temperature in the 90's and no signs of cooling. Just as the weather will, hopefully... or eventually catch up with the season of the year, I'm gradually coming to find joy in the season I'm in!

So what now?
Pursue Passions : trying new things, continuing art, and refining what I really am passionate about
Be Proactive : starting up that job search by polishing up my resume. taking a GO
Self-Care : Wholeness. Be YOU

It's been awhile but I'm returning to my little space on the internet with lots of content ahead that I can't wait to share!
